You know when you go out with your friends and you have fun? I mean you have a lot of fun… maybe you drink a few drinks and then a couple more and then someone takes a picture of you doing something crazy. And the day after, that picture gets uploaded and your family, your girlfriend and maybe even your coworkers see it. And your reputation is gone forever.
Well, the good news is that you can keep having fun, and your friends can keep taking photos of you. But when they upload the photo online, your face will not come out. Just a bunch of blurred pixels. You just need to wear the right t-shirt, the Beachmasters Blurshirt! And your reputation will be safe.
Sorry to say it won’t work on Facebook (it’s for popular Netherlands site Hyves) but it’s another great example of creative use of QR codes. The shirt has a QR code underneath the collar so that anything above becomes a series of blurred pixels. Instead of seeing one’s face as an unpleasant reminder of certain mishaps, viewers are instead greeted with a blur that keeps embarrassment at bay. Wearing this shirt on “one of those nights” out could mean the difference between being remembered as a party animal or being remembered for the person who lost his job because of social media.
